When we set out to design the BirrStore theme system, we made one rule: a theme must be a complete visual language, not a color palette. That meant building five themes from scratch, each with its own layout grid, component placement, navigation paradigm, and micro-interactions. In this post we walk through the design decisions behind Aurora, Bazaar, Atelier, Souk, and Grid.
